is nestled among the Sam Houston National Forest, Lake Livingston and the historic
town of Coldspring. Sam
Houston National Forest
covers 161, 154 acres of Southeast Texas pineywoods. Public hunting of white-tailed
deer, feral hog, squirrel, quail, rabbits & frogs is permitted. Other recreational
activities include hiking, bicycling & wildlife viewing. Use of horses is
permitted year round. Lake
Livingston covers 90,000 acres with a maximum depth of 77
feet and 450 miles of shoreline. It is the 2nd largest lake lying completely within
the borders of Texas. Historic
Coldspring was named in 1850 and established as the county
seat of San Jacinto County by the Texas Legislature in 1870. The shops that border
the town square date back to the early 1900's. They are filled with unique gifts,
antiques, art and many one-of-a-kind and hard-to-find items. To
Visit Us: U.S. 59 North to Cleveland, exit FM 2025; take a left toward Coldspring,
travel 12 miles to Hwy 150, turn right toward Coldspring; turn left at Hwy 156,
go 1 mile to Hwy 224 and turn right; go 7 miles and turn right on Marina Trail.
Holiday Shores Marina & Restaurant will be on your right as you approach the
water.

North to Willis-FM 1097 (exit 94); turn right at the light on 1097. Follow 1097
to Hwy 150 and turn right towards Coldspring; go 17 miles and turn left on Hwy
156; travel 1 mile to Hwy 224 and turn right; travel 7 miles and turn right on
Marina Trail. Holiday Shores Marina & Restaurant will be on your right as
you approach the water. |
